The students of Harrogate Music Centre created a giant Treble Clef out of their spare coins that they brought to rehearsal this week, as their part in the fundraising for Comic Relief.

Students, aged from six to eighteen, who meet each week to play in the ensembles at the Centre, did their bit to help children in this country and Africa.

As well as creating an impressive piece of artwork, the total money raised came to over £227.

Staff had the task of counting the thousands of coins before sending it off to Comic Relief.
