Acceleris, the integrated PR and Communications agency based in Harrogate, has picked up its second ‘Large Agency of the Year’ title in three months and kicked off 2013 with a raft of major new business wins.
The latest awards accolade came at the ‘Golden Hedgehog Awards’ ceremony staged in Manchester and is in recognition of the agency’s work for clients in both the public and private sectors. Held in association with the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA), the awards recognise ‘outstanding campaigns and exceptional talent’ within the communications industry.
Acceleris is based in Harrogate but operates nationally, was also crowned winner in the ‘Not for Profit Campaign’ category for its work with Leeds based charity, the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund which is fighting to retain services in Yorkshire under a national review.
These successes follow the agency being named ‘Large Agency of the Year’ at the UK Public Sector Communications Awards in November.
They follow a string of seven major new client wins since January 1 which will see Acceleris recruiting to expand its team of 16. New clients include the National Federation of Fisherman’s Organisations, which represents the industry in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, automotive businesses Vantage Motor Group and RAM Tracking and Bangeston Hall autism specialist care centres. The agency has also been called in to handle a number of sensitive crisis communications issues for clients in the public and private sectors.
Acceleris Managing Director Peter Davenport, said:
It is always rewarding to be recognised by our peers for the quality of our work and to win these awards so early into the New Year cements our determination to build on the achievements of 2012. We have also picked up seven major new clients since the start of the year across a range of sectors which puts us well ahead of our growth forecasts for 2013.
