North Yorkshire Police are investigating an assault that took place in the early hours of this morning (3 March 2013) on Lead Lane in Ripon.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said:
Officers are currently investigating the circumstances of an assault on Lead Lane, Ripon. It occurred at around 4am on Sunday 3 March 2013.
As a result of the incident a young woman suffered a cut to the face which is not thought to be serious. She was taken to Harrogate District Hospital for treatment.
