Two Harrogate police officers seriously injured during traffic collision

PoliceA 19-year-old Harrogate man has been arrested following a collision with a police vehicle.

It occurred at a junction on Clint Bank, Pateley Bridge Road, Burnt Yates, near Harrogate, at 8.25pm on Wednesday 19 December 2012, involving a Seat car and a marked Land Rover Discovery.

The man driving the Seat was arrested on suspicion of driving without due care and attention. He has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

The driver and passenger of the police vehicle suffered serious but non life threatening injuries. They were taken to Harrogate District Hospital where they were treated before being released.
