Need warming up? Enjoy a free tea and mince pie at Harrogate’s Royal Pump Room Museum from 17th until 21st December.

To brighten the pre-Christmas grey and cold Harrogate Museums and Arts are offering you a free cup of tea and mince pie when you visit the Royal Pump Room Museum.

The offer is available from 17th to 21st December from 11am until 3pm and included in the small admission charge (£3.75 adults, £2.65 concessions, £2.20 children or £10 for a family).

Explore why Harrogate is the home of health and happiness in our displays about the town’s fascinating spa history. Enjoy 1930s film of people taking all kinds of weird and wonderful treatments, beautiful twentieth century costume and discover about famous visitors such as Charles Dickens and Agatha Christie.

Investigate Egypt in our permanent displays showcasing our wonderful Ancient Egyptian treasures. See mummy masks, canopic jars, jewellery, amulets and our stunning sarcophagus.

The nearby Mercer Art Gallery is always worth a look. You can see over 200 works of art selected from entries by local artists in The Harrogate Open and enjoy an exhibition inspired by artists’ visits to Finland. It’s a great place to look for Christmas gifts with prints, glasswork and textiles by local artists on sale. Admission to the gallery is free.

The Mercer Art Gallery is open from 10am until 4pm Tuesday – Saturday and 2pm until 4pm Sunday.

Both venues are closed from 23-26 December, reopening on 27th.
