Acceleris named ‘Large Agency of the Year’ at national awards

Acceleris has been named ‘Large Agency of the Year’ at a national awards ceremony.

Its’ latest success came in the UK Public Sector Communications Awards 2012 which were held in Manchester on Tuesday ( Nov 20). The awards recognise and celebrate the role of communications within the public sector over the last year.

Judges praised Acceleris for ‘providing creative, innovative, and effective work which delivers clients’ objectives’ and also commended it for a ‘good company culture’ and for ‘nurturing talent in the industry through school and graduate work placements’.

Acceleris is based in Harrogate and has clients in the public and private sectors around the country. In the public sector it works for organisations in social housing, health and education as well as with major contractors in the supply chain.

Last week the agency won GOLD in the ‘Not-for-Profit’ and ‘Healthcare’ categories at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards for its ‘Celebrations of the Sea’ project for client the Shipwrecked Mariners’ Society and for its work on the Children’s Heart Surgery Campaign in Leeds.

The agency was also ranked at number 17 in PR Week’s recent Top 25 national public sector agencies for its work in the housing, health and education sectors.
