CCTV issued after Knaresborough shop sign damaged

7 November 2012

Police have issued CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the theft and damage of a shop sign in Knaresborough.

At around 1am in the early hours of Monday 15 October 2012, the sign, attached to a shop called Rainbows End on Knaresborough High Street, was taken off the wall and dumped in a nearby beer garden. The sign is worth around £300 and has been damaged beyond repair.

Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to who may have important information about the incident.

PC Marie Scott of Knaresborough Police said:

This was a completely mindless act of criminal damage and I am hoping the men in the images can assist with our investigation. I am appealing for anyone who recognises the men to contact the police, or better still, for the men to contact police themselves.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Marie Scott, or email PC Scott at marie.scott@northyorkshrie.pnn.police.uk
