Five energetic lawyers from Berwins are hoping to blast the firm’s £6000 fundraising target for the Alzheimer’s Society this weekend when they take part in the Great North Run.

Managing director Paul Berwin, who is one of those taking part in the 13.1 mile challenge from Newcastle to South Shields said:

We set ourselves an ambitious target at the start of the year but thanks to a string of events which included raffles, baking, a race night and corporate relay we’re within reach of smashing it.

As well as training hard for the half marathon we’re also fundraising hard in the hope that this event will help us raise even more money for this worthwhile cause.

Dementia affects so many people’s lives and we have been touched by the personal stories people have shared with us during our fundraising campaign.

The biggest single fundraiser was a race night during Dementia Awareness Week which raised almost £3000.

The Great North Run is on September 16. To support the Berwins team visit www.justgiving.com/teams/BerwinsGreatNorthRun
