The British Bridal Exhibition takes place at the Harrogate International Centre 9-11 September 2012 and is one of the leading trade bridal shows in the world.
The event takes over seven halls at the Harrogate International Centre plus four of the town’s hotels, in order to accommodate the 300 brands that will be showcasing their latest collections for Spring/Summer 2013.
For many of the exhibitors, they see this as the must-attend event to maintain their position in the market.
The event is important to the town, bringing businesses to many of the hotels and spending at the shops.
President of the Harrogate Chamber of Trade & Commerce and Owner of the Alexa House guest house, Sandra Doherty said:
The Bridal Show is very important to Harrogate Businesses; the effect of such a great Exhibition being in town is felt by not just the Hotels and Guest Houses. The restaurants, the show and the taxi’s also directly benefit from the added customers in Harrogate.
They are really lovely people many have been returning to Harrogate for many years so know what it is they are coming to see in the Halls and then make a bee line for all their favourite Harrogate places.
The buzz in the town is great, friendly and as many of them are retailers too they do like too shop and look around out town.
I hope that they are made to feel welcome and wanted by all of us who are lucky enough to have direct contact with both the exhibitors and the visitors.
I for one look forward to meeting my regular guests twice a year as they become friends, it’s good too to met the new comers who often are here for their first foray in to buying or fro countries far and wide selling what look like very interesting new gowns.
Simon Kent, deputy director at HIC, said:
The British Bridal Fair has made its home in Harrogate and at HIC and we are delighted to see it go from strength to strength. The beautiful setting, variety of bars, restaurants and boutique shops make Harrogate well loved by exhibitors and visitors alike.
From an HIC point of view the exhibition, as one of the largest European bridal trade shows, is a fantastic show to work on.
We get involved in the 10 catwalk fashion shows which take place in the Royal Hall and allow us to show off our technical and creative expertise, coming up with lots of creative ideas to show off the gowns to their full potential and all with a stunning back drop. It’s a pleasure to work with Wendy and the Ocean Media team to make the show more and more successful each year.
Destination Harrogate is an association of the leading hotels located in the town centre of Harrogate. The Association has been in existence for many years with the enduring goal of promoting Harrogate as a destination, both for conferences and for leisure breaks.
Chair of Destination Harrogate, David Ritson said:
We welcome the British Bridal Exhibition (BBE) back to Harrogate for its second show in 2012.
It is the UK’s key bridal trade show and is one of the largest and longest serving trade shows in the Harrogate events calendar. BBE Harrogate attracts a huge number of visitors to Harrogate who socialise and do business amongst the hotels, bars, restaurants and cafes whilst enjoying the numerous other benefits the town of Harrogate delivers.
It is Destination Harrogate’s pleasure to help accommodate the many exhibitors and visitors who attend the show and we look forward to continuing to assist in making the show a success in 2012 and for many years to come.
The exhibition continues until Tuesday, 11 September 2012.
