Staff, clients and friends at a leading North Yorkshire hair salon joined together to celebrate an important milestone – and helped raise cash for charity.
Halo Hair and Beauty moved to its premises in Leeds Road, Harrogate, 12 months ago – and to mark the anniversary salon owners Joseph Ferraro and Chris Burton organized a party and fund-raising night.
The event raised £1000 for national charity Bliss, and Harrogate’s Special Care Baby Unit.
Prizes up for grabs during the evening included haircuts with each member of the team at Halo Hair and Beauty, along with yoga and pilates sessions, shopping vouchers and beauty treatments.
Salon owners Joseph, twice a North Eastern Hairdresser of the UK finalist and Chris, an international hairdressing educator, said they were delighted at having raised so much money.
We wanted to celebrate our first year in the new premises not only by having a party but by raising money for a good cause too.
We were overjoyed at how much money we raised for two worthwhile charities and we are grateful for all our clients who supported our fund-raising efforts.
Halo Hair and Beauty, in Leeds Road, Harrogate, opened in the town six years ago, but moved to its new premises 12 months ago, tripling in size and tripling its staff numbers.
A charity football match has been planned to raise money for Bliss, with tickets for the event on sale at Halo Hair and Beauty.
Ex England players Danny Mills, Gareth Southgate and Nigel Martyn as well as Emmerdale cast members will be taking on Harrogate Town at the event on 30 September 2012.
