PATS 2012 in HarrogatePATS first ever September show has sold out of exhibitor places.

Taking place on September 16th and 17th and opening for the first time on a Sunday, this show marks another positive milestone in the history of PATS, the UK’s only dedicated, pet focused trade show.

Visiting pet retailers from across Britain and overseas will meet with more than 160 pet trade exhibitors; source new profit potential from the many new products being launched at the show and take part in the biggest and most exciting gathering of the pet trade since PATS Sandown in March of this year.

The last available stand booking confirmation was made six weeks before PATS Harrogate’s due opening date. Amongst the latest companies who have confirmed their decision to return to the show is Iams/Eukanuba, whose spokesperson told the PATS team:

“Eukanuba & Iams are proud to be supporting PATS Harrogate and look forward to welcoming our pet trade partners to our stand to learn about our exciting new product launches.   Procter & Gamble are committed to supporting the Speciality trade through their dedicated National Field Sales representatives, who can work with you to develop your business.”

Other exhibitors returning to PATS include Westland Horticulture – who exhibited at PATS for the first time at the Sandown show in March – Skinners Pet Foods, whose most recent PATS was the Harrogate 2011 show and Premier EPOS, also returning after a successful Sandown 2012. At Westland Horticulture’s PATS debut in March, the company created huge interest across the pet trade with the introduction of new products for the wild bird sector.

Nicola Bacon explains:

Westland have decided to take part in this year’s PATS show at Harrogate following the acquisition of Cranswick Pet Products in April. It was felt that it would be a great opportunity to attend the show and to highlight the quality offerings of both the ‘Peckish’ and ‘Nature’s Feast’ brands to those visiting the show.

Skinners Pet Foods has recently won the New Gundog Product 2012 category at the Shooting Industry Awards.

Sales & marketing Director, Will Delamore, explains why the company is optimistic about Skinners’ renewed potential at PATS:

Skinners has always supported the independent pet trade and continues to enjoy great success with its range of complete foods for dogs. We hope to capitalise on this success (the New Gundog Product 2012 award win); we hope to meet new customers and support existing customers in what is undoubtedly a challenging and exciting time for the whole industry.

Natural Instinct is amongst the companies exhibiting at PATS for the first time and the company’s director, David Brock, explains why his team is looking forward to taking part in PATS:

Natural Instinct has just undergone an extensive new branding programme, which now gives the company a fresh vibrant look as befits the UK’s premier raw pet food manufacturer and supplier.  We have decided to exhibit at PATS this year for the first time as we are actively seeking to expand our already impressive wholesale department, and to bring our quality raw dog and cat foods to all corners of the UK.

PATS Harrogate will reveal many new products and ideas – and some sneak preview surprises! PetSafe® is giving visitors to PATS (stand B18) an exclusive preview of its new high tech innovation – ‘The Intelligent Pet Door’ – which will be available to retailers next Spring 2013. The new pet door, which is being shown at PATS Harrogate for the first time in the UK, is operated by an existing implanted microchip or an ‘Intelligent Tag’ worn on the pet’s collar. The Retailers’ Choice PATS New Product Showcase situated in Hall B is shaping up to include many exciting and stimulating new profit opportunities. Thundershirt for Cats, from PetLife International, is sure to follow in the footsteps of the canine version’s soothing success; Fashion Dog introduces CURA PET special clothing, designed for dogs with allergies or to assist post-surgery. Supreme launches Twistynest; the latest play-encouraging bedding for small animals. Throughout the show these exciting new product launches are joined by many others in every category, with a huge diversity ranging from treats and toys to grooming products, innovative new foods, accessories and pet tags – in Discovery Point, also in Hall B, there’s even the UK’s first specialist, luxury tour operator for travellers and their dogs!
