Harrogate law firm Berwins has expanded its life department with the appointment of wills and probate solicitor Edward Taylor.
Edward previously worked in the private client department of Barber Titleys for four years, joining the firm on a training contract after completing a law conversion course in York. He then moved to a practice in Ormskirk before returning to Harrogate to join Berwins.
He will work alongside head of department Julie Jewers and Gareth Marland, both of whom are qualified solicitors for the elderly.
I have been impressed by Berwins for some time and am delighted to be joining the life team as it continues to broaden its range of services for clients across North and West Yorkshire.
Julie Jewers said:
Edward’s expertise in the field of private client work will be invaluable as Berwins Life expands.
This is an area of the firm that has already seen strong growth in recent years, particularly through the development of new specialist services for older people, and his appointment will support that progression.
I am keen to become involved in some of the sports fundraising activities that the firm is well known for and I’m sure it won’t be long before I’m competing as part of Team Berwins.
A keen sportsman and musician, Edward enjoys playing cricket and refereeing football in his spare time.
