12 May 2012

Police are investigating the theft of £12,000 worth of tools in Northallerton.

It occurred between 6pm on Friday 27 April and 11am on Saturday 28 April 2012, at an industrial unit on Darlington Road.

The thieves targeted Snap On branded tools but left behind a number of other tools made by different manufacturers.

The tools that were stolen include electrical testing equipment and three sets each of screwdrivers, spanners, socket sets, Allen keys, pri bars, ratchets, extensions and breaker bars.

PC Quita Passmore, of Northallerton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

The tools that were stolen appear to have been specifically targeted as nothing else was taken.

I would like to speak to anyone who may have been offered Snap On branded tools in unusual circumstances or can help to identify the thieves and ask that they contact the police straight away.

Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is asked to contact Northallerton police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Quita Passmore.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12120067305.
