The Optician Awards are arguably the most sought after accolade in the eye-care and eye-wear business. Sixteen awards recognise excellence in everything from education to technology, product innovation to professional expertise. Hundreds of nominations are received from across the UK each year. The three or four finalists in each category attend a gala dinner in London at the end of April.
M Procter Opticians from Harrogate were delighted to be a finalist for not one, but two awards this year; Fashion Frames and Premium Lens Practice of the Year. This outstanding achievement follows their success in 2010 when they were a finalist for the Independent Practice of the Year award.
Phil Howlett, general manager at M Procter Opticians comments:
The Premium Lens Award is a real testament to our expertise. Every member of our staff who had client contact is either professionally qualified or has over 20 years’ experience. We are a Centre of Excellence for a number of lens manufacturers and we sell everything with a price guarantee ensuring the clearest, most comfortable vision at the best price.
Mike Procter, optometrist and owner comments:
Being a finalist for the Fashion Frames award confirms my belief that we have one of the most balanced fashion offerings in the UK. We combine the most desirable fashion collections with innovative technical brands and luxury ranges. It’s enormously satisfying when some of the most influential people in our profession rate us so highly.
