Appeal for information following incident with purple Qashqai

12 March 2012

Police are asking a woman driving a Range Rover to come forward following a report of dangerous driving in the Grassington area.

It occurred at around 11am on Saturday 25 February 2012, when a group of cyclists was riding along Hebden Road towards Grassington.

A man driving a purple Nissan Qashqai stopped and verbally abused the group before driving erratically, which meant the cyclists had to take avoiding actions to avoid hitting the car. The Nissan almost collided with a silver or grey Range Rover.

The only description of the Range Rover driver is that it is a woman with dark hair.

PC Emma Newby, of Harrogate Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

I am urging the driver of Range Rover to come forward and contact the police as soon as possible, as I believe that she has vital information about this incident.

Anyone who can help with this enquiries is asked to contact Harrogate police on 101. Press option 2 and ask for Emma Newby.

Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12120030117.
