Mothers of Harrogate unite

21 February 2012

Bankfield Pre-Prep is soon to launch a new, free, mother and baby group for local families to meet, and all in the name of charity.

The group will be held weekly, every Wednesday, and will open its doors to families for the chance to meet other like-minded parents or guardians.

There will be experienced staff on site to talk to and facilities include a large outdoor garden area for warmer days. Activities, such as music sessions, are planned for the future too.

The group hopes to raise funds, by way of donations, for The Friends of Alfie Martin Trust, which operates as part of The Leeds Teaching Hospitals Charitable Foundation (LTHCF). The Trust is dedicated to improving transportation for critically ill infants born in Yorkshire, providing a relevant focus for the new group.

A representative of the Trust commented “We are delighted Bankfield Pre-Prep has chosen to offer their facilities to local mothers and babies. They are helping to raise much needed, vital funds, for a very worthy cause.”

The first session will be held on 29th February, 9.30am to 11am at Bankfield Pre-Prep.
