SIRA Studio, Harrogate College and the Crown Hotel, hand-in-hand for a warm Christmas experience
Christmas has a community-focused dimension with Harrogate photographers SIRA Studio, the Harrogate College and The Crown Hotel working in partnership this year. As official photographers to the Crown Hotel in Harrogate, SIRA Studio is taking family and party photos all through December in a winter wonderland specially created by art students from the Harrogate College.

As a small, growing business, it is very important to us to network with local businesses and communities.
We are delighted that the Crown Hotel chose to employ us as their preferred supplier of photography for parties and weddings.
Back in September, with the spirit of Christmas in our hearts and much community focus, we enlisted the help of first year art students from Harrogate College to design and build a backdrop that would be big and festive enough for us to photograph multiple party groups, each of up to around 25 people.
They worked very hard under the direction of tutor Ali Hazelton to build us a huge set, a standalone Santa (with a face-hole) and a canvas.
We are always on the look-out for new creative talent, so it was great to be able to work with our local art college on a live brief.
At the beginning of December, the student creations were installed in the Montpellier Room, on the ground floor of The Crown. And, to add to the joy, some amazingly realisticsnow was shipped in. Altogether with about 600 fairy lights, a couple of tasteful reindeer, a Christmas tree and even a sledge, the winter wonderland really works towards giving a genuinely festive atmosphere. Anyone can come and have their photo taken and party-goers get one free print per group/table, with prints being given out straight away.
Even Santa himself is popping into the grotto between 1pm and 3pm this Saturday 17th to give children presents – please contact Crown Hotel for details.
