Police name victim of fatal collision and re-appeal for witnesses

Following the fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the A167 between Northallerton and South Otterington at around 10pm on Monday 1 August 2011, the police have now named the woman who died.

She was Sian Leah Morgan, who was aged 20 and from Barnard Castle, County Durham.

The inquest was opened and adjourned today (Thursday 4 August) in Northallerton.

Traffic Constable Martin Mulcaster, of North Yorkshire Police’s Roads Policing Group, said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information about the collision and has not yet contacted the police to do so as a matter of urgency.”
