This again supported the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and proceeds from the race will go to keeping this extremely valuable local resource operational.

A full results report will follow when published.

Tony Doveston of Yorkshire Air Ambulance said :”We are delighted we have been the chosen charity the second year in row – this is unique

“We are very supportive of the event and it helps us raise the £7200 we need each day to be operational. Over the last 10 years we have carried out 3,800 mercy missions. not only to hospitals but to centres of excellence like specialist burns units.

“We operate out of two locations Leeds/Bradford Airport and Bagby, near to Thirsk – this allows us to be anywhere within the North Yorkshire region within 15 minutes.”
