Paloma Faith played to a capacity audience last night (14th July 2011) at the Harrogate International Centre.
Playing many tracks from her first studio album ‘Do you want the truth or something beautiful’ including ‘New York’, ‘Stone cold sober’ and the title track alongside tracks from her album yet to be released including a track ‘cellulite’
Throughout the the night Paloma encouraged people to get up and dance and towards the end the HIC had its very own mosh-pit much to the concern of the watching security staff who, initially tried to encourage people back to their seats but gave up.
Paloma belted the songs out in her usual style, interjecting with wry comments about the music industry and lived up to her reputation of saying what she thinks and in her own words “I don’t have an internal filter”
At one point Paloma toppled off her red vertiginous heels and told the audience “I am not embarrassed at all and I am sorry if you are embarrassed for me”
Here’s to many more acts of this quality appearing at the HIC in the future!
