The specialist store opened five years ago selling accessories for parties and events but has expanded its business to cater for weddings, events and the corporate market.
Sue Savill has been a partner for the past four years and took sole ownership in March.
“When Party Fever started balloons were a very small part of our overall trade whereas now they account for over 50 per cent,” she explained.
“We’ve invested heavily in staff training to develop our expertise in this area and have worked closely with our suppliers to track market trends and adapt and expand our range accordingly.”
Party Fever is well known for birthday decorations and balloons and has grown this business to include complete on site balloon décor for events such as weddings, 40th birthdays with business to business and corporate event work also having grown significantly.
“We recently created a six metre by four metre balloon wall for Jewsons to celebrate their 175th anniversary and have supplied balloon décor for new car model launches and Stray FM’s Local Hero awards dinner,” said Sue.
Party Fever currently operates from two adjacent shops on Oxford Street, each with a separate entrance, and Sue says the new site will allow them to increase their display space and offer a better service to customers.
The company has rebranded, creating a new logo to coincide with the move and to mark Sue’s takeover and the expansion of the corporate and event side of the business.
The move to its new bigger site on Station Parade, opposite the Damn Yankee and next door to Sugar Therapy, will be celebrated in true Party Fever style on Saturday July 2.
“We’ll be marking our own big event with a carnival themed fun day including face painting, balloon twisting, acrobats and entertainers and we hope as many people as possible will join us for what promises to be a real celebration of what we’ve achieved so far.”
