Police Helicopter called to help find missing Harrogate Woman

Police were called just after 8pm on Wednesday evening (15 June 2011) after a Harrogate woman failed to return home after going for a walk.

The woman, who is in her forties, was reported missing by her family who became concerned for her welfare when she didn’t return home. With the assistance of a helicopter search team, police searched the area between Harrogate and Knaresborough throughout the night and into the morning.

A police spokesperson said: “Thankfully the woman was found on Thursday morning by officers in the Harrogate area. She was taken to hospital for a check-up. Police are satisfied that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.”
