Joe Manby Limited, one of the UK’s largest exhibition and conference service providers which boasts an annual show portfolio comprising 60 events in over 20 UK venues – has been shortlisted for a high-profile accolade from the Association of Event Organisers (AEO).
The family run business – established in 1974 by Joe Manby and run by his sons Richard and Andrew – is the only entrant in the North of England to make the final in the Service Supplier of the Year category of the AEO Excellence Awards.
Over 1,000 attendees will gather at ExCeL London on 1 July for the awards which recognise and celebrate organisers’ achievements, standards of excellence from venues and service quality from the industry’s suppliers and contractors.
The shortlisting follows a formative year for Joe Manby Limited, whose diverse client base includes the Conservative Party, the British Dental Association, the British Bridal Exhibitions and the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Annual Conference and Exhibition – the latter two hosted at the Harrogate International Centre in 2011.
Andrew Manby said: “We are the only services supplier north of the midlands to be included among the eight finalists. It’s great news that our deep-rooted ethos of constantly striving for excellence in customer service and of forging long-term relationships is being recognised in these esteemed awards.”
Commented Alison Griffin, Head of Sales and Marketing at Harrogate International Centre: “HIC offers its congratulations to Joe Manby Limited for being short listed in the AEO Excellence Service Supplier of the Year category. It is fantastic to see a Harrogate firm in the nominations, especially as they are the only North of England entrant to make the final.
“We are certainly not surprised; whenever they are on site at HIC, we receive positive feedback about the professional and friendly service they provide. We wish them luck at the awards.”
