Harrogate-based Specialist Quantity Surveyors, Cooper & Hall, have overseen the completion of a major £500,000 refurbishment project to transform a Victorian property into luxury serviced apartments.

The firm was called in by the owner of the imposing three-storey mid-terrace building – which overlooks the spa town’s Valley Gardens – to convert it into five, luxury apartments for the short term and holiday lets markets.

Director Phil Cooper said: “The property owner initially came to us for some advice and, following our initial report, he appointed us to provide a professional quantity surveying service.

“Valley Park Studios, as it is now known, was originally a single family dwelling which had been converted in the 1960s into three large flats. We came onto the scene after the building had been stripped out to a bare shell.

“From there we worked closely with the owner, his design team and contractor to create five luxury apartments built to the highest standards.

Work to Valley Park included a new roof, structural and stone work repairs, new floors and walls, high quality fittings and finishes, and external landscaping.

He added: “In conjunction with the owner we selected Harrogate building firm, CK Bachelor, and they have done a first class job. Their workmanship was to a very high standard and the result is a stunning development that the owner can be justifiably proud of.

“We are delighted to have been able to contribute towards this prestigious development.”
