Lettings Agency Launches Harrogate Office After Client Demand

Yorkshire based, award-winning property agency, Angus Roberts, is leading the way for independent lettings agents this month and proving that great customer service does exist in their industry, as they open a new office in Harrogate on the back of popular demand from long-term customers who own properties across the region.

After having serviced the needs of Wharfe and Aire Valley landlords for the past 5 years from their Ilkley base, with another successful year trading under their belts, the Angus Roberts team is expanding, and due to client demand from the Harrogate region, the decision was made for their new location, thanks to them already having Harrogate clients on their books before they even opened the doors.

Gavin Rae, of Cordova ltd, is one of Angus Roberts’ customers helping their business grow. When the team announced their Harrogate launch he immediately signed over his North Yorkshire properties to them, a testament to their award winning approach to customer service.

Mr Rae said: “I have a range of properties in the Harrogate area, which up until now, I have managed myself. However, I have used Angus Roberts to manage my properties in the Ilkley area with fantastic results. They are consistent and dedicated which is why I was delighted when they told me they were to open an office in Harrogate. They have now relieved me from the stress and time intensive process of managing my own properties, and it’s a pleasure to have an agency on hand that I trust 100%”.

Commenting on the Mary Portas TV programme recently he added: “It’s true that property agents very easily get a bad name. However, with Angus Roberts I continue to be impressed with their non ‘estate agency’ approach. They are straight talking guys who are working to get me the most out of my property – you can’t argue with that and I don’t think Mary Portas could either – I think she’d love them!”

Angus Roberts’ attitude that the customer is king has resulted in them being nominated for the second year running for the title of Letting Agent of the Year for Yorkshire & The Humber, at the Estate Agent of the Year Awards. In 2010 they took home the silver title beating off many of the large chains and are now going for gold at the awards in June.

The opening of this new office is welcomed by a number of long-term customers who own properties across the region and refuse to turn to another agent. Angus Roberts co-owner Simon Coulthurst said: “We have a set of clear brand values that we live by, and that all our staff are bought into. By ensuring that we are taking this customer driven approach we are not only seen to be different to our competitors but as members of ARLA (the regulatory body for the industry) we’re also working to try and generate a better reputation for the lettings industry as a whole”.

He added: “We’re passionate about property in Yorkshire and our experts have specialist knowledge of both property marketing and property management, understanding both legalities and logistics that make our clients lives easier.”

“We are dedicated to forming a trustworthy relationship with each of our clients and therefore approach business with honesty and integrity, working to the highest possible standards, which is why our customers have helped our business grow.”

With its flagship office based in Ilkley, the new branch will continue to build on Angus Roberts’ existing reputation across The Wharfe and Aire Valleys.
