Police investigate fatal Skipton collision

Skipton police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in a supermarket car park.

At around 12.15pm on Sunday 13 February 2011, a blue Renault Scenic collided with two stationary vehicles in Morrisons car park on Broughton Road.

The driver of the Renault, a 70-year-old woman from Colne, suffered serious injuries in the collision and was taken to Airedale General Hospital for treatment.

Sadly, she died on Wednesday 16 February 2011.

The Police are unable to release the identity of the deceased at this stage.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any other information that could help the investigation.
